Write-In LISA CANNON as State Representative
on or before August 11 in Chittenden-16.
My name is LISA CANNON, and I’m running for State Representative because I believe we should have a city, state, and economy that works for all of us!
I have dedicated my life to public service and organizing communities towards positive social and economic change. I have lived in the Old North End for over a decade. I raised my daughter here, as a single parent, and saw her through Burlington Public Schools. I share in the joys and the challenges of living in our town. I would be honored to serve and work together towards a brighter future.
As a parent and community member, I worked with families at Edmunds Elementary to advance equity and inclusion, helped pass the Burlington school budget for several years, and supported local businesses, nonprofits like Migrant Justice, and neighborhood events such as The Ramble.
My career has centered on public service and community organizing.
International Program Director at Ashoka: Innovators for the Public
Chief Fundraiser for Lund Family Center
Deputy Director of Washington, D.C. Mayor's Office of Latino Affairs
Volunteer with Peace Corps and American Friends Service Committee, working alongside people from all walks of life in the U.S. and abroad.
My own experiences with economic hardship, health challenges, and discrimination have strengthened my commitment to building a Burlington where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
As your representative, I will work to make life here more affordable, livable, healthy, and safe for all. MY priorities will be YOUR priorities.
